‘Konda Ranji’ to return to Sri Lanka following Dubai deportation

Ranjith Kumara, alias “Konda Ranji,” a suspected organized crime figure who was arrested in Dubai and deported to Sri Lanka, is scheduled to arrive in the country at around 8.00 a.m. today (9), according to reports.

 

“Konda Ranji” was arrested in Dubai on January 9 while allegedly attempting to flee to Italy.

 

Dubai authorities had also detained his wife and children along with him at the time. They were subsequently released.

 

“Konda Ranji” is also reportedly a wanted suspect in connection with the murder of the coordinating secretary to former Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
