Three-wheeler driver dies following shooting in Dematagoda
A three-wheeler driver who was injured in a shooting incident near the ‘Kalu Palama’ in Dematagoda, a short while ago, has succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment.
The shooting incident was reported this evening (17), with the victim being admitted to hospital following the shooting.
However, it has now been confirmed that the shooting victim has succumbed to injuries.
The victim was reportedly riding his three-wheeler when he came under gunfire.
The motive for the shooting and the identities of those involved have not yet been revealed.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
