CWC 2023: India win toss, bat first against South Africa

India won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa in the 37th match of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
The teams are set to take each other on at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India, at 2.00 p.m. today (Nov. 05). The unbeaten hosts India take on in-form South Africa in their penultimate Cricket World Cup group stage match.
Meanwhile, both sides have already secured their semifinal places.
India have obtained 14 points after winning seven from seven, while South Africa became the second team to qualify for the semifinals on Saturday (04) as a result of Pakistan defeating New Zealand.
South Africa’s only defeat was a shock 38-run loss to the Netherlands in their third match.
