Sri Lanka names 16-member Test squad for Afghan series

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has named a 16-member squad for the upcoming Test series against Afghanistan.

The following squad, selected by the SLC Selection Committee, was approved by Sports Minister Harin Fernando:

  • Dinesh Chandimal
  • Sadeera Samarawickrama
  • Ramesh Mendis

  • Vishwa Fernando
  • Kasun Rajitha
  • Kamindu Mendis
  • Prabath Jayasuriya
  • Lahiru Udana
  • Chamika Gunasekara
  • Milan Rathnayake

Sri Lanka is set to host Afghanistan for a multi-format tour in February 2024, with the one-off Test between the two sides taking place between 2 and 6 February at the Colombo SSC.

Afghanistan’s tour of Sri Lanka also includes three ODIs and as many T20Is.
