Injured Pathirana to return to Sri Lanka

Chennai Super Kings have suffered a big blow with the injury of Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana.
“Chennai Super Kings pacer Matheesha Pathirana is nursing a hamstring injury and will be returning to Sri Lanka for further recovery,” stated a media release from CSK.
Pathirana was CSK’s standout bowler throughout the tournament and picked up 13 wickets at an E/R of 7.68.
It adds to CSK’s woes with Deepak Chahar also suffering a serious injury that is set to rule him out of the season.
CSK have had a middling season so far and are currently placed fifth on the points table.
