Asia Rugby Championship 2025: Hong Kong thrash Sri Lanka 78-07

Hong Kong thrashed Sri Lanka 78-07 in a one-sided Asia Rugby Men’s Championship 2025 encounter at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Grounds today (22).

Hong Kong led 33-07 at halftime after scoring five tries.

They went on to score seven more tries in the second half to seal a comfortable victory to remain unbeaten in the Asia Rugby Men’s Championship.

The solitary try for Sri Lanka was scored by Pasindu Bnadara and converted by skipper Tarinda Ratwatte.

Sri Lanka who lost to South Korea 34-38 last week, remain winless in the tournament.

The Tarinda Ratwatte-led team will next meet the United Arab Emirates on July 4.
