July 16, 2025 07:21 am
The third and final Twenty20 International of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is scheduled to get underway at the Premadasa International Cricket Stadium today (16).
The game is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 p.m.
Sri Lanka won the series opener by seven wickets but Bangladesh made a strong comeback in the second one, having thrashed the Lankans by 83 runs, a victory which was their largest against any Test-playing nation.
Bangladesh have never won any T20 series against Sri Lanka, having played five earlier.
The best result they achieved was a draw in a two-match series in 2017 in Sri Lanka. Overall, the two sides played 19 matches in that format with Bangladesh winning 7 and losing 12.
This evening’s encounter will be the final game of Bangladesh’s long tour where Sri Lanka won the two-match Test series 1-0 and the three-match ODI series 2-1.
