2025 Asia Cup: India thrash UAE by 9 wickets

India completed a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their opening game of the 2025 Asia Cup in Dubai.
They completed the win with 97 balls to spare.
Earlier, they won the toss and chose to field first and bowled out the hosts for 57.
Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with a four-wicket haul, while Shivam Dube took three wickets.
Chasing 58, India completed the run-chase in just 4.3 overs with Abhishek Sharma scoring a 16-ball 30.
Shubman Gill (20 of 9) and Suryakumar Yadav (7 of 2) remained not-out as the Men in Blue won by nine wickets.
