South Africa defeated England by 125 runs in the first semi-final of the Women’s World Cup 2025 and qualified for the final for the first time in history.

Chasing 320 runs, England were bowled out for 194 runs in 42.3 overs.

Nat Sciver-Brunt and Alice Capsey scored fifties, but it was not enough. The top three batters, Amy Jones, Tammy Beaumont, and Heather Knight, failed to open their account. Marizanne Kapp took five wickets for the Proteas.
