Club Rugby: CR, CH top points table after week one

The Ceylonese Rugby and Football Club (CR & FC) and the Colombo Hockey and Football Club (CH & FC) are on top of the points table after week one of the 2025/26 Inter-Club Rugby League tournament.
The new season got underway on Friday with Havelock Sports Club taking on Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club at Havelock Park.
The keenly contested game saw both teams sharing the spoils after ending the game on 31-all.
In the second game of the day, CH & FC defeated Sri Lanka Police Sports Club 29-05 at the Racecourse Stadium.
Meanwhile, yesterday, CR & FC thrashed Shri Lions 65-08 at Longdon Place.
In the final game of the week, Sri Lanka Air Force defeated Sri Lanka Army 24-19.
Reigning Champions Kandy Sports Club did not feature in the opening week of the new season.
Four more games are scheduled to be worked-off this week.
