Sri Lanka set England 134-runs target in first T20

Sri Lanka has set a target of 134 runs for England to chase in the first T20I match of the series in Pallekele. 

Batting first, Sri Lanka were all out for 133 in just 16.2 overs.

Kusal Mendis top-scored with 37 runs, while Pathum Nissanka contributed 23 runs.

Adil Rashid and Sam Curran each took three wickets for England, with latter achieving a historic hat-trick in the 16th over of Sri Lanka’s innings, becoming only the second player to take a T20I hat-trick for England.

The match was interrupted by rain, and the match referee decided to limit both innings to 17 overs.
