St. Joseph’s College Colombo defeated traditional rivals St. Peter’s College by four wickets in their 52nd annual limited over cricket encounter played at the Singhalese Sports Club Grounds today.
St. Peter’s College batting first managed just 231 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs.
Jason Fernando top scored with 52 while Dineth de Silva hit 39.
For the Josephians Nushan Perera picked up 3/33.
Chasing a 232-run target, St. Joseph’s crossed the line losing just six wickets in 41.3 overs to secure bragging rights.
Aveesha Samash smashed 85 while Senuja Wekunegoda scored 46 to guide St. Joseph’s to victory.
