Dilshan to miss ODI series against England

TM Dilshan says that he has informed Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) that he will not be available for the one-day international (ODI) series between Sri Lanka and England due to personal reasons.
Certain media reports had cited an injury as the Sri Lankan opener’s reason for missing the five-match ODI series.
However, speaking to Ada Derana, the 39-year-old said that he has no injuries and that he will not be available for the series due to personal reasons.
According to sources close to the cricket, a certain member of the incumbent selection committee has emphasized the importance to groom young players and has been pressing for Dilshan to make way for new blood.
Sources say this may have prompted Dilshan to miss the ODI series citing personal reasons.
