Kithuruwan Vithanage gets one year suspension

  Kithuruwan Vithanage has been suspended from all form of cricket for a period of 1 year with effect from June 26 for misconduct, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced today.

The 25 year old middle-order batsman was recently connected to a certain brawl at a popular hotel in Colombo along with another young cricket.

Vithanage is a left-hand batsman and a leg-break bowler who officially made his test debut against Bangladesh in 2013.

In May 2014 he made his Twenty20 debut against England.
