Asela Gunaratne to miss Nidahas Trophy

Sri Lankan allrounder Asela Gunaratne, who sustained an injury while training during the tour of Bangladesh, has been ruled out of the upcoming Nidahas Trophy, a T20 tournament set to start on March 6.
He sustained an injury in his right arm, while diving during one of the fielding drills and getting his arm caught in an awkward position, before Sri Lanka’s T20 matches against Bangladesh.
Fast bowler Shehan Madushanka was also ruled out of the tournament after he suffered a hamstring injury during the 2nd T20 match.
Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh will play in the tournament while the fixture will consist of seven matches, including the final. All the matches will be played at the RPICs.
