To coincide with the World Squash Day celebrations, Sri Lanka Squash has initiated another regional pathway program by launching a Squash initiation program for the students of the Boyagane Maha Vidyalaya.

This is the third with programs in Galle and Trincomalee already active.

The program included introductory programs and the launch of a six-month-long coaching program for 15 selected students of the school. A session was also conducted for over 100 students of the school who showed an interest in the sport.

The program, funded by Sri Lanka Squash with the support of Ritzbury brand holders CBL and Yeti Isotonic drinks, is intended to popularize the sport with underdeveloped schools in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Squash President Suren Kohombange, Vice President Colonel Kaminda Silva, along with other officials and school sports and administration staff, participated in the events.

Sri Lanka Squash is providing racquets and other equipment with the support of the primary sponsors and the Asian Squash Federation.
