Jaffna Kings beat Galle Gladiators by 24 runs

Jaffna Kings have pulled off a heist thanks to some fantastic bowling performance at the death as they successfully defended 137-run total to beat Galle Gladiators by 24 runs in the opening match of the LPL 2022 on Tuesday. 

While skipper Kusla Mendis led the attack for Gladiators, his half-century went in vain. 

Earlier, some terrific bowling by Galle Gladiators helped them bowl out Jaffna Kings for just 137. 

Wahab Riaz, Imad Wasim, Nuwan Thushara, Nuwan Pradeep and Iftikhar Ahmed bagged two wickets each. Dunith Wellalage and Shoaib Malik top-scored with 30 each.
