Dambulla Aura bag first win in LPL 2022 series

Dambulla Aura won against the Galle Gladiators by 48 runs, making this their first win in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 series.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, Dambulla Aura put up a score of 178 of which the team’s opening duo, Jordan Coz and Shevon Daniel paired a total of 163 runs.
Captain of the team, Dasun Shanaka, commended the duo, stating that they were “outstanding players”, emphasizing that they delivered ay the right time.
“First time we did a lot of things 100% well. The mental preparation and the practice. The boys prepared well before the game and it worked out for us”, he said.
The Galle Gladiators, however, despite having a target of 179, were only able to score 130 runs in 19 balls, with their first wicket falling in the first over itself.
