Royal College clinch 46th Mustangs Trophy

Royal College Colombo registered a seven-wicket win against St. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia in the 46th annual limited-overs cricket encounter played for the Mustangs Trophy.
The famed one-day encounter took place at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground today (25 March), with St. Thomas’ College winning the toss and electing to bat first.
Despite winning the toss, however, the Thomians put up a score of 165 in 48.2 runs, after which Royal College fought back with a score of 166 for the loss of three wickets in 37 overs.
The Royalists also won the 144th Battle of the Blues, held from 16 – 18 March, housing the shield after seven years.
