Malaka gets bail...

Public Relations and Public Affairs Minister Mervyn Silva’s son Malaka Silva and Rehan Wijeratne, who were remanded over the alleged assault on an Army Major, were released on bail by the Fort Magistrate’s Court today. Fort Magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne ordered the duo released on a cash bail of Rs. 50,000 and a personal bail of Rs. 1 million each. Malaka, Rehan and the Army Major in question were yesterday ordered to appear before the court today (September 21). Pic by Sanjeewa Lasantha
