Student dead, 16 injured after tree falls on school building in Balangoda

A student has succumbed after a tree branch fell onto a school building in Balangoda this afternoon (12), police stated.
When inquired by Ada Derana, Balangoda Police stated that 16 others sustained injuries in the incident and have been hospitalized for treatment.
The deceased was a 17-year-old school student.
Balangoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
