Two 10-year-old boys drown in Uma Oya

Two boys, aged 10, have reportedly drowned in Uma Oya, Welimada, police said.

Three children had gone to swim in the Uma Oya at around 3:00 p.m. and during that time, two of them had drowned, police noted.

The two children who died were from Girambe and Horagolla.

The bodies of the two deceased children are currently placed at the morgue of the Welimada Base Hospital, according to police.
