Pedestrian run over while crossing the road

A pedestrian was killed last night on the Colombo-Kandy main road in Kiribathgoda while crossing the road after being hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The 33 year old victim from Hemmathagama was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver involved in the accident was taken into custody while he will be presented at courts today (September 14).
