New governors of Southern and North Western provinces sworn in

Former ministers Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena and Naseer Ahamed were sworn in as provincial governors on Thursday (02), the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
Accordingly, Abeywardena took oath as the Southern Province’s governor while Ahamed took oath as the North Western Province’s governor.
The newly appointed Governors were sworn in before President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
