Body found in Mahawelia canal

The body of a 39-year-old man has been found in the bank of the Mahaweli canal in Dambulla.

It has been uncovered that the deceased, a resident of Bulanela in Dambulla, had drowned after falling into the water while crossing the canal.

Dambulla Police is conducting further investigations.
