High Level Road blocked in Salawa due to protest

High Level Road blocked in front of the Salawa Army camp due to a public protest, the Ada Derana reporter confirmed. 

The protest was staged by residents in the area claiming discrepensies over the payment of compensation for the property damaged as a result of the Salawa army camp fire.

They also claim that the estimations of the damages is not being carried out properly.

UPDATE: The protest, which was blocking traffic along the Colombo-Awissawella main road ended after around 3 hours, Ada Derana reporter said.
