New hotlines to inform police about disaster situation

Sri Lanka Police has set up two telephone numbers for the public to inform about any disaster situations in the country.

The general public is requested to contact the following telephone numbers to provide such information:

0112 454576
0112 587229

Several deaths have already been reported from parts of the country due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
