The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) says it has taken necessary measures to provide bus services this weekend.

Accordingly, all buses belonging to the SLTB will be up and running today (21) and tomorrow (22).

It is also reported that long-distance bus services provided by the SLTB will be in operation during this period.

The SLTB noted that boarding and alighting of passengers is strictly prohibited in areas under isolation.

Legal action will be taken in the event of an incident as such, the Police informed.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Railways has suspended all passenger train services scheduled for the weekend, in the face of current Covid-19 situation.
