Tense situation near SLFP headquarters

A tense situation is reported amidst a demonstration staged in front of the headquarters of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) in Colombo.

It ensued after former President and SLFP’s chairman Maithripala Sirisena arrived at the headquarters.

SLFP general secretary, MP Dayasiri Jayasekara was seen speaking with the protesters, in an attempt to bring the situation under control.
