Employees of privately-owned buses operating on two routes have commenced a token strike.

Accordingly, private buses plying on route 170 (Athurugiriya-Pettah) and route 190 (Meegoda-Pettah) will not be in operation today.

The token strike was launched over a certain incident that ensued between the bus drivers and the police, according to sources.
