A person has been killed in a shooting carried out in the Ahungalla area today (01), the police said.
The unidentified assailants who arrived on a motorcycle have shot at the person in front of a hotel, and fled the scene, according to police.
The deceased individual has been identified as a 45-year-old resident of the Kosgoda area.
Ahungalla Police is conducting further investigations in search of the suspects.
