The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress won the Irakkamam Pradeshiya Sabha of the Ampara District.
Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) - 2,838 (4 seats)
National People’s Power (NPP) – 2,003 (3 seats)
All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) – 1,732 (2 seats)
Independent group - 823 (1 seat)
People’s Alliance (PA) – 766 (1 seat)
