Suspect injured as police open fire during arrest attempt in Kaduwela

A shooting incident has been reported in the Kothalawala area in Kaduwela, a short while ago.
It is reported that police officers opened fire while attempting to apprehend a suspect.
The suspect reportedly attempted to attack the officers with a sword during the arrest attempt, prompting the police to respond with gunfire in self-defense.
The suspect sustained injuries in the incident and has been admitted to the Mulleriyawa Hospital for treatment.
