16 Eastern University students arrested over ragging incident

A total of sixteen students, including six females students, have been arrested in connection with an alleged ragging incident at the Eastern University.

The arrested students were later produced before the Eravur Magistrate’s Court and were subsequently granted bail, police said.

The arrests were made following a complaint lodged by a female student who had allegedly been subjected to the ragging incident.
