“It’s our collective responsibility to ensure safety of all children”: PM Harini

It is our collective responsibility to ensure the safety of all children, leave no child behind, regardless of background or circumstance, safeguard their economic, social and mental well-being, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated.

The Prime Minister also noted the importance of ensuring a child-friendly environment for the future generation to live freely.

Prime Minister Dr. Amarasuriya made these remarks while addressing the World Elders’ and Children’s Day celebration organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs at Temple Trees today.

The event was held under theme “Nurture with Love - To Lead the World” which has been chosen as this year’s Children’s Day theme.
