Wanted murder suspect arrested

A suspect, who had been wanted in connection with a murder in Yatadolawatta area in Matugama, has been arrested.
Officers of the Law Enforcement Unit of Kalutara Division have made the arrest last night (05), Police Headquarters stated.
The police have seized a foreign-manufactured revolver and a Bora-12 rifle in possession of the suspect at the time of the arrest.
The murder suspect Buddhika Wijesiri, alias ‘Maltiya’, is reportedly a 33-year-old resident in Ruwangoda area in Dodangoda.
He is to be produced before the Matugama Magistrate’s Court today (06).
