December 8, 2023   06:29 pm

Traffic has returned to normalcy along the Hatton - Colombo main road, Sri Lanka Police reported.

The Hatton - Colombo main road was completely blocked for traffic since Thursday night (07 Dec.), after a mound of earth collapsed on to the road in the Diyagala area.

Motorists were subsequently advised to use alternative routes.

However, according to police, traffic along the Hatton - Colombo main road has now completely been restored following the clearing of the mound of earth, and motorists are no longer required to use alternative routes.
