One dead, two injured in fire at Soysapura flats in Moratuwa

A fire which broken out in the ‘C Block’ of the Soysapura flats in Moratuwa this evening (23), has left one person dead and two others injured, according to Sri Lanka Police.

 

Three individuals were reportedly caught in the fire while one of them, a male, has later succumbed to injuries.

 

The Moratuwa Fire Brigade had dispatched a fire truck and two water bowsers to the scene to help douse the flames.

 

A gas leak is suspected to have caused the fire.
