The issuance of vehicle revenue licences through the Electronic Revenue Licensing (eRL 2.0) System will be temporarily suspended in all provinces except the Western Province from September 25 to 28, 2026.
The temporary suspension is due to a critical infrastructure update aimed at providing users with a more efficient and enhanced service, the Ministry of Digital Economy said.
The temporary suspension will apply to the Central, North-Central, North-Western, Southern, Eastern, Northern, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.
Following the completion of the system updates, the service will be reactivated and resumed as normal from Tuesday (29).
The relevant Provincial Councils have expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to service users due to the temporary suspension.
