Thomians beat Royalists to clinch 47th Mustangs Trophy

St. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia beat Royal College, Colombo by 30 runs to clinch the 47th annual limited-overs cricket encounter played for the Mustangs Trophy.
The much-awaited one-day encounter took place at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground on Saturday (March 16).
The Thomians put up a score of 256 in 50 overs for the fall of 8 wickets, after which the Royalists fought back to amass only 226 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 48.1 overs.
