Several spells of showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today (10), according to the Department of Meteorology.

 

Showers or thundershowers may also occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Mullaitivu district after 2.00 p.m., the Met. Department added.

 

Meanwhile, the general public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimise possible damage caused by temporary, localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
