September Aswesuma payments to be credited today
Aswesuma welfare payments for September will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts today (16), according to the Welfare Benefits Board.
Under the first phase of the Aswesuma programme, Rs. 9.18 billion will be paid to 992,053 beneficiary families.
Meanwhile, 213,335 families receiving benefits under the second phase will receive a total of Rs. 2.12 billion.
Chairman of the Welfare Benefits Board Nimal Kotawalagedara confirmed that beneficiaries will be able to access the payments through their Aswesuma bank accounts from tomorrow (17).
