Six night trains reportedly cancelled ahead of planned railway strike
It is reported that six train services scheduled to operate tonight (16) are set to be cancelled due to the railway strike scheduled to take place tomorrow (17).
Accordingly, the train scheduled to depart Colombo Fort at 7.00 p.m. for Batticaloa, the train scheduled to depart Colombo Fort at 8.00 p.m. for Kankesanthurai, and the Night Mail train departing for Batticaloa at 9:30 p.m. are among the services reportedly affected.
However, the Department of Railways or transport authorities have not yet issued an official confirmation regarding the cancellation of the relevant train services.
